The Wonderful world of teak products

Impi Teak, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, is
the Largest Zimbabwean Teak Decking & Flooring
supplier in Southern Africa.

We specialise in Zimbabwean Teak (Baikaiea Plurijuga) which is a sort after Hardwood, which is only found in the Khalahari Sands Region of Southern Africa.
This Wood is distinguished by two distinct colours
when sawn and processed.

We also supply P.A.R Teak and laminated tops.

     
  Heartwood
The heartwood is chestnut brown in colour and
matures to a characteristic rich and attractive
dark red.

Sapwood
The sapwood is pale cream in colour and matures
to a delicate pink which blends perfectly with the
dark red of the heartwood.

Both sapwood and heartwood are combined in the
same product, this mixture of colour is known by
Impi as “savannah” reflecting as they do the light
and shade of the savannah woodland. 		 
     
 

Zimbabwean Teak is known for its high resistance to abrasion and is
suitable for all flooring applications where strength and durability are
required. The attractive appearance of the timber combined with its
stability and low linear shrinkage makes it an ideal choice for the
discerning buyer.

All Impi Teak product is kiln dried to stabilise the moisture content, and
is treated against insect attack.We have 3 fully stocked warehouses with our own distribution network.
